Wedding Photography Info
Everything you could ever need to know about booking James White Photography for your big day!
Let's do this!
So you’re thinking of booking me for your wedding hey? What an absolute legend! If you’re looking for someone to give you a unique, one of a kind wedding experience that helps to tell your individual story, as well as someone you will want to grab a beer with, you’re in the right place!
This page should answer any questions you have, and any questions you might have in the future about your photography, and the organisation of your day. So take the next couple of minutes to read through this and take it in. I’ll see you on the other side!
How Do I know which Package is Best for me?
Good question...you've probably never done this before, so how would you know? My recommendation is, I should arrive about 2 hours before the ceremony starts. This is assuming you are both getting ready at the venue, or really close by. If not, I would recommend 3 hours.
The day then plays out as it does, nothing too crazy going on here. End of the day, I usually say 30 minutes of dance floor is well sufficient. Why? Well, after 30 minutes of cutting loose on the dance floor, things get messy. People stop enjoying the company of me and my camera, so it is best at this time I pack up.
Not sure where your needs fit in? That's cool, I suggest going for the package a bit lower than what you think you need, and simply adding more hours ($350/hr) as you get closer to the date if you think you will need it! These packages are super flexible.
Do I need a 2nd Photographer?
The most common question I get asked! This hinges on 2 major questions for me. First, are you having more than 120 people at your wedding? Second, are you getting ready separately as in not at the same venue?
If you answered yes to either of those, you should consider a second shooter. More than 120 people for a single shooter will mean some people get less attention (guests, not you), and getting ready at separate locations means I have to waste time driving (less time shooting = bad). If you answered 'No' to both, then I would suggest you save your money for a gorgeous wedding album, or put it towards a Videographer if you weren't already thinking about one!
Want to Book Me for your day?
Well for starters, brilliant decision! I'm totally not biased, but like I said, you sound like a champion!
The process is super simple! The Deposit is $500 within 7 days of booking, with the remaining balance due no less than 30 days out from the wedding date.
Thinking of having your wedding somewhere that requires a bit more of a trek (aka somewhere awesome!)? Travel fees will apply and are totally dependent on the job, so we can discuss that later.
Don't leave your only physical memories of your wedding to chance, I would absolutely love to ensure you have the most amazing memories to enjoy for the rest of your lives!

Let's Do an Engagement Shoot!
If you have been following me for a minute, you will know, engagement shoots are brilliant because they give you an opportunity to work with me before the wedding, to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding, and are fucking fun! It's such a huge day, you would be downright crazy not to practice for it!
Normally engagement sessions are $1295, but as a BONUS for booking a wedding with me, I discount it down to $600 for you! So let's do something heaps fun. Let's go somewhere fun and get a bit crazy.
Should I have a Videographer?
I will keep this short and sweet...YES! Take it from me, I didn't have a video on my wedding day, and I regret it and forever will. I'll never get a chance to do one again! And all for what? To save a few grand? A stupid decision by me, and actually the most common regret I found when I spoke to over 250 married couples...not hiring a videographer!
I have an amazing videographer who works very closely with me. You can check out some of his films if you would like, I can certainly send you some links! We work together quite a lot, meaning you don't have to worry about your photographer and videographer having a fist fight on your wedding day because one got in the others shot!
