    FAQ
What do we need to bring to the shoot?
Nothing. You don’t have to bring props or anything if you don’t want to. If you know that your child loves a certain toy, or blanket, and it means something to your family, then of course bring it. But you are not obliged to bring anything. Bring a blanket if you are worried about sitting on the grass though!
What should we wear to our session?
My most common question of all time. My suggestion is, neutrals work best. It is impossible to mismatch neutral colours. Splashes of colour are great and add to the contrast, but if you are all wearing incredibly colourful clothing, the image can become confusing for the viewer and the over-stimulation of colours can distract the viewer from what the image is about…your family! A similar thing is with patterns. The more differing patterns, the more confusing the image will become to view. I suggest similar patterns, or no patterns at all. If you feel you need some inspo, or some examples, check out how some of my other families dress by going to my gallery above.
    How long are the sessions?
Generally speaking, they go from 45-60 minutes. The first 20 or so minutes will be dedicated to some more traditional shots, the ones you hang proudly on your wall for everyone to see. The final part of the shoot is what I call the “go crazy” portion. It is what it says. We let the kids go crazy if they want, and all we capture is candid, in the moment shots of your family being who they are. No contrived shots, no staged shots. This should give you all the variety you need for beautiful, memorable photos.
What if we need to reschedule? What about terrible weather?
Life happens, right? Things come up and you have to attend to them. I get it, I am a human being too. All I ask is that you get in touch with me and let me know as soon as you can. Inside of 24 hours, the deposit is non-refundable, but outside of this, it is refundable, or we can switch it across to another day and time that you can shoot. If the weather is terrible, I will reschedule your shoot with you and transfer your deposit.
What do I do if I am running late?
Please, please contact me. If you contact me, I can call my next appointment and let them know I will be late to them. This almost always means everyone is happy, and knows what to expect. If you do not contact me, and I cannot let my next appointment know, however late you are will cut into your photoshoot time. This means we may be more rushed, and get less images. A simple call to let me know is all I need to handle everything on my end. Then all you have to do is enjoy your photoshoot when you arrive.
    What happens after the session?
The hard part is over for you! But now we must play the waiting game. 7-14 days on average to be exact. It takes a while to create beautiful images that you would be proud enough to hang prominently all over your house, so please be patient with me. Once your images are done, you will be sent an email with a link to your online gallery. You will also receive a private message or text message notifying you of this, just in case it goes to your junk mail. From there, please follow the step by step instructions outlined in the email. If you have any issues please just ask me.
Explain how the pricing packages work?
Another very common question. You know as well as I do, that if I love the photos of your family, then they are going to make your heart melt in a very special way. Most people get these images and put them all around their home, to remind them just how lucky they truly are, every single day to have a family as cool and beautiful as their own. After your photoshoot, you will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of packages. From here, you select what you want, and I will do the rest. You would have seen a price guide in the previous email sent to you, so check that for a refresher if needs be.
What if I want them all, but can't afford it right now?!
I'm a human being with a heart, and also I have been in that position many times. In keeping with that, I offer multiple payments options. You can pay online via bank transfer, credit card, or even cash. If you don’t like those options, you can jump onto a payment plan. The payment plans are similar to ‘Afterpay’. You can make 4 fortnightly installments. Images will be released upon final payment.
